Showing compassion for Mother Earth: VAIO W goes green
Sony Philippines unveils the new VAIO W Series, which features a number of environmentally friendly elements in its design, production and packaging.
Notebook goes green
The VAIO W's top cover, palm rest, and bottom cover contains approximately 20% reprocessed plastic made from DVD and CD waste. By using the recycled plastic parts, carbon dioxide emissions within the production process are reduced by approximately 10% compared to using regular plastic.
In addition to its usage of recycled plastic parts, the packaging of the VPCW21EAG/WI has been specially designed to be environment-friendly. You will receive this notebook in a carrying bag instead of the traditional cardboard box packaging, which doubles up as a protective case for the notebook. This unique packaging is both stylish and eco-friendly as the brown exterior fabric is made from 100% recycled plastic bottles (PET) material.
Enhanced mobile experience
The enhanced VAIO W features a 10.1" wide (WXGA: 1366 x 768) TFT colour display which allows users to enjoy a comfortable viewing experience. It also comes with an energy efficient Atom™ Processor N450, 250GB hard disk, Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 3150, and is compatible with the MS Duo PRO-HG Memory Card and SD Memory Card.
Stylish colors to suit all tastes
For those who appreciate a green lifestyle, the VPCW21EAG/WI is the perfect choice with its mint green palm rest and patterned touch pad to foreshadow its eco-friendliness. The new blue color is softly textured and is as stately as a dark suit. The blue hue, which is almost black, makes it perfect for any business scene.
The VAIO W series is also available in white, pink and brown. To accompany its stylish design, you can mix and match the colors of its accessories to get your preferred look.
