NEC launches VERSA E6310 / E6300 notebook with new Intel Duo Processor Refreshing audio, visual and touch experience

MANILA, 17 January 2008 – NEC Computers is launching in the Philippine market its new generation designer notebook series, NEC VERSA E6310 / E6300, which brings out the best in executive style as well as the latest in processor technology.

One of the first to ship products based on the new Intel Centrino Processor Technology in the world, NEC Computers is introducing a classy notebook weighing a mere 2.49 kilograms, with a 14.1” widescreen display and powered by the new Intel Core2 Duo Processor.

“With the launch of the NEC VERSA E6310 / E6300, NEC continues its leading position in providing Time-to-Market processor technology to customer,” said Makoto Iwasaki, marketing director of NEC Computers Asia.

“These new notebooks feature Core2 Duo Processor with FSB of up to 800MHz, which speeds up overall system performance and allows switching dynamically according to the applications to help conserve the battery life,” he added.

The processor works together with the new Enhanced Deep Sleep state and Smart Cage technology which actually switch off one of the core in executing single threaded application. “It is an exciting architecture that balances power and performance by eliminating the waste of data flow and allows NEC to incorporate more innovative features into NEC VERSA E6310 / E6300 while preserving the battery life,” Iwasaki noted.

NEC Philippines executive vice president Leonardo Santos expressed optimism that the new generation notebooks would be well received by Filipino users who seek not only optimum performance but environment friendly technology as well.

“With increasing choices in the market, the Filipino consumers are becoming more discriminating and their decision to purchase is anchored on innovation and economy which are both offered by NEC,” he said.

The 2nd generation of NEC Japanese Designer series now being launched in the Asia Pacific, the NEC VERSA E6310 / E6300 asserts its position in the premium class with its multifunctionality. The stylish slim dimension mobile notebook PCs feature dual digital array microphones, 2.0-Megapixel webcam, nVidia GeForce Go 8600 graphics supporting up to 2GB total available graphic memory, HDMI AV interface, chrome blue-lighted TnG (Touch and Go) touchpad and unique mirror logo engraved on the lavish leather texture cover. Building on the successful launch of one-touch-videoconference concept in its previous E6200 series, NEC further strengthened this VOIP concept on NEC VERSA E6310 / E6300 with built-in unique dual digital microphone array and 2.0-Mega-pixel webcam which perform noise cancellation function and speech enhancement.

The integrated dual digital array microphones create a stereo surround sound effect. Together with the webcam, they enrich the “live” audio and visual experience especially when communicating with colleagues or loved ones overseas.

With a simple touch on its chrome blue-lighted TnG (Touch and Go) touch pad, users can manage media player through a full range of controls – adjusting the volume level or even changing the sequence of the songs they desire. Users can even access documents, excel sheet and perform file search function through the TnG Touchpad.

The NEC VERSA E6310 / E6300 has comprehensive and practical shortcut keys for easy access of email, internet, VOIP communication (supporting SKYPE) and ECO hardware power management function for the convenience of traveling users.

Its 14.1” wide screen LCD with a resolution of 1280 x 800 features NEC’s Super Shine View Technology for a spectacular visual experience with improved clarity, sharper images and vibrant colors up to high-definition video performance.

The ultimate machine in advanced gaming, the NEC VERSA E6310 / E6300 boasts video and visual effects at extreme speeds. Users can access superior graphic performance through Mobile Intel GM965 Express Chipset and GMA X3100 which is Windows Vista Premium Ready.
